Fall Lunch & Learns
CASATNH hosted two Volunteer Advocate Recruitment Lunch & Learns on Sept 11th & 12th in the communities we serve.
Our Executive Director Kesha presented a wonderful “What is casa?” presentation at each session.
We had a current & past volunteer attend to help answer questions as well as a few board members!
Thank you to our friends over at Herron -Connell Insurance group who sponsored both Lunches!
Attendees enjoyed lunch from Maryville Corner Market for the Blount session and Honey Baked Ham for the Anderson session
If you didn’t get a chance to join us, that’s oaky! We ill be hosting another set of Lunch & Learns around March 2025. Keep an eye on our “Upcoming Events” to stay in the loop!
Kinship Care Month
September is Kinship Care month.
During Kinship Care Month, we shine a spotlight on the remarkable influence of kinship care on families and their communities.
This longstanding practice, prominent in diverse racial and ethnic families and communities,
nurtures strong familial bonds, safeguards cultural heritage, preserves family connections, and reduces the trauma of separation.
By recognizing the value of family connections and supporting a kin-first culture,
we can advance the system that supports the needs of children, families, and communities to promote improved outcomes.
This month, we reaffirm our commitment to kin-first culture as a philosophy—believing in families and preventing family separation.
If you would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer visit casatnh.org to get started today!
