We’ve been busy!

photoWow!  What a difference a few months can  make!   As most of you already know our fun and fearless leader, Naomi left us in the spring for an amazing opportunity with United Way and although we were so happy for her, we were also pretty nervous at the thought of replacing such a dynamic force and champion for our program. We were also pretty confident that we would find the perfect person to take her place with the right amount of enthusiasm, fearlessness and love for our community that we had all come to expect from our Executive Director.  Well, without a doubt she’s here!

The Board of Directors would like to officially announce our new Executive Director, Kesha Shipe!  Kesha has served on the board of CASA of the TN Heartland for 5 years prior to becoming the ED.  She is passionate, energetic and serious about the issues that affect our children.  If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her yet, don’t worry you will! She hit the ground running on her first day in October.

“My mission is to carry on the solid tradition of recruiting, training and retaining volunteers in our community to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in our area.  They are our responsibility and our future.” We know that our CASA of the TN Heartland supporters, volunteers and staff join us in welcoming Kesha to our family and will do all that we can to help ensure her success as well as the success of our program!
